App distribution

The Zoom App Marketplace is an ecosystem of Zoom-built and third-party apps available for users to connect with their Zoom account. By publishing an app on the Marketplace, your product or service is introduced to millions of daily users looking to connect workflows and discover new tools. Follow the submission steps in this section for a guide to publishing on the Marketplace.

Note

If you don't want to publish your app, you can select from the following:

• Unlisted apps might be a preferable option for you if you want to limit access to your app and don't want it available to the general public. For more information, see Set my app as Unlisted in App discoverability.
• Beta apps are intended for testing. You can share them, with restrictions, by requesting an authorization URL.
• Private apps are intended for distribution to users within your Zoom account.

App submission, review, and testing process

To be published and released to the Marketplace, all public apps must undergo a dedicated App Submission Review process for app security, functionality and information.

In the first phase of the submission process, the Marketplace Operations team reviews metadata, usability, and compliance. The team works directly with you to meet all requirements.

In the second phase of the review process, to ensure customer data is protected and to ensure app security and resilience, the Marketplace Security team performs a Security Audit and a focused security test on Zoom scopes.

Support and documentation

All developers are required to provide individual on-going support to users for their published apps. While Zoom provides active support for the use of Zoom products, all developers are required to actively provide users with their own dedicated support options for their published apps. Supporting your app includes providing, at minimum: a Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, Self-Serve Documentation, and Support URL as part of the Zoom Marketplace Developer Agreement.
