Overview

The Bring Your Own Storage (BYOS) feature saves Video SDK cloud recordings directly to your Amazon S3 bucket instead of the Zoom cloud. After you enable BYOS, Zoom stores all new Video SDK cloud recordings only in your configured S3 location.

You are responsible for all S3 storage costs. Zoom does not charge for BYOS storage, but Video SDK Cloud Recording minute charges still apply. Any existing recordings that remain in the Zoom cloud will continue to incur Zoom storage charges until you delete them.

Manage BYOS recordings with APIs

Do not use the Recordings page to manage, play, and download BYOS recordings. Use the cloud recording APIs instead.
