# Invite users Build Platform account administrators can give Zoom account holders access to view their dashboard and view or manage other account activities with external accounts management control. _**To enable this access, the user must already have a regular Zoom account with a credit card on file (not a Zoom Build Platform account).**_ Click **Roles** to add roles with user privileges to your account. Default roles include Owner and Admin. - Owner is the owner of the Build Platform account with full privileges to manage the account. - Admins have privileges to manage a Build Platform account. You can change these privileges at any time. Select a **role name** to edit role settings or members. ## Add role Click **Add Role** to add a new role. 1. Role Name - Enter a name for the role. 2. Description (Optional) - Add an optional description. 3. Click Add. 4. Select Role Settings and add Role Members. ## Select role settings On the **Role Settings** tab, add role settings for a new role or edit settings for an existing role. You can enable view or edit permissions for the following items. - **User and Permission Management** - **Role management** - View existing roles, or add and edit user roles. Enabling the **Edit** privilege automatically enables the **Edit** privilege for Users. - **Add external users as role members** - Members with editing permissions can create new roles and assign members to manage your account. - **Account Management** - **Account profile** - View or edit settings in the account profile. - **Account settings** - View or edit settings that affect all users in the account. - **Recording and transcript management** - View or edit recordings of sessions hosted by users in the account. - **Billing** - **Subscription** - View your current plan or add subscriptions and add-ons. - **Billing information** - View your invoice history or edit your billing information. - **Dashboard** - **Dashboard Home Page** - View overview of usage statistics for Video Sessions. - **Sessions** - View detailed information of real-time and past sessions and relevant users. - **Reports** - **Usage reports** - View detailed usage reports for the account. - **User activity reports** - View detailed user activity reports that can be used for audits. - **Advanced Features** - **Zoom for developers** - Enable view permissions for developers to contribute to app development and enable edit permission for developers to publish apps for distribution. - **Meeting SDK (Permission soon to be deprecated)** - The separate role permissions were part of a legacy app creation process for the Meeting SDK and will be deprecated. They are not relevant for Build Platform products.\* > **Best practice** > > As a best practice, to fully manage the Video SDK app development, the account owner should either give external accounts access to the admin role or define a new role that has Zoom for developers permissions. ## Review role members The **Role Members** tab displays the following information for existing role members. - **Email/Name ID** - The email address of the user, which is also their name ID. - **User Name** - The user name. - **Account Name** - The account name. - **Status** - The status, such as Pending if they have not yet activated their invitation, or Active if they have. - **Invite Date** - The date they were invited into the role. - **Expiration Date (if applicable)** - The date their role permissions expire. - **Allow to Add Delegates** - Whether they can add delegates to the account with the same permissions enabled in their role. - **Action** - Click the **trash can** icon to delete a role member or the **ellipsis** icon to edit or move the role member. You can edit their delegate permissions and expiration date or move them to another role. ## Invite users to view or manage account You can invite users with Zoom accounts to view or manage your Build Platform account. > **Zoom Workplace account requirement** > > To enable this access, the user must already have a Zoom Workplace account with a credit card on file (not a Zoom Build Platform account). Follow these steps to invite a user. 1. On your Build Platform web portal, click **Roles**. 2. Click the role name of the role to add the members to. 3. Click **Role Members**. 4. Click **Add External Users as Members** to add role members. 5. Click **Accept** to accept the **Delegated Account Administrator Agreement** to agree to the terms and conditions of adding a user to the role (you will only need to do this once). 6. Enter the email addresses of users to add. Separate multiple email addresses with commas. _**Be sure that these are the email addresses for existing Zoom accounts.**_ 7. Select whether invited users can assign the same management permission to others in their accounts or not. 8. Select whether there should be an expiration date for the invited user and their delegates to manage this account. If selected, choose the expiration date in the calendar. 9. Click **Add** to email an invitation to the user. The **Role Members** page will show a "Pending" status until the user accepts the invitation by clicking a link in the email that was sent. From your [profile](https://zoom.us/profile), click **Account Management**. 2. Select **External Accounts**. You'll see a [table of external accounts](#table-of-accounts) that you can manage. 3. Find the account you want to manage and click **Manage**. The browser window will update to display the account details, with the name of the account at the top of the sidebar. Choose links from the sidebar to manage the account. Click **Back to My Account** to return to your account web portal. ### Table of accounts The table includes the following fields: - **Account Name** - The account available for you to manage. - **Inviter** - The name of the account holder who granted you access. - **Invite Date** - The date and time you were invited to manage the account. - **Expiration Date (UTC)** - When your access expires, if applicable. - **Delegate Permissions** - The specific permissions assigned to you.
